Dartmoor Kin is myself, 'Sasha Jackson' and my family. I'm a juggler of multiple responsibilities, wearer of many hats. Photographer, digital artist, social media manager & content creator, author and home educating parent of 3 boys.
For 'Home Education Devon' and other home education groups - I admin, organise and moderate their social media. Writing and moderating social media content, creating all the graphic design elements. Running Devon social meetups. Offering guidance and answering questions from members. I also created and continue to maintain an online directory of Devon home ed related information. Currently I'm creating an online home education newspaper too.
Under my shop name of ‘Dartmoor Kin’ I design printable digital downloads. Many of my resources are ideal for using with a nature curriculum or journal, with topics like moon phases, wheel of the year calendars, phenology guides and nature study wheels. I started off designing them for my own family, but thought others might like them too - so Dartmoor Kin was born.
I self published a book on Amazon all about 'The Wheel of the Year' and pagan festivals, whilst researching their fascinating origins studying Western European history.
Formerly a graphic designer & photo re-toucher based at Ealing Film Studios in London, I now concentrate on my own art and photography. I find my inspiration in the stunning surroundings of the south west & Dartmoor. The majority of my work is based on nature, especially the play of light and colour on trees, water and foliage. My style is often bold, abstract and surreal.
~ Oh, and I've returned to college as an adult learner - fitting everything in can be an insane juggling act!
